Theses2009
The Theses of the third round again revealed high motivation and hard working of SpaceMasters which concluded with high-quality Thesis reports. The Theses were examined by professors Aarne Halme from TKK and Kalevi Hyyppä from Luleå. Laboratory personnel as personal instructors for the students were Seppo Heikkilä, Mika Vainio, Eemeli Aro, Marek Matusiak, Pekka Forsman, Mikko Elomaa, Tapio Taipalus and Tomi Ylikorpi.
Jürgen Leitner, researching Multi-Robot Formations for Area Coverage in Space Applications, spent 3 months in University of Tokyo (SpaceMaster partner university) preparing his Thesis that he continued and finished back at TKK.
The following Thesis topics were given to the third round students:

- David Leal Martinez, Reconfigurable Multi Robot Society based on LEGO Mindstorms, abstract
- Nassir Workicho Oumer, Development of Wireless Control System for a Spherical Robot, abstract
- Melak Mekonen Zebenay, Manipulator Control for Physical Astronaut-Robot Interaction, abstract
- Qu Zengcai, Intelligent Diving Control of a Lagrangian Type of Underwater Robot, abstract
Graduation ceremony at TKK 'Saha'-building September 7th. 2009.
The graduation of the third round TKK SpaceMaster students took again place in historic building 'Saha' in Otaniemi campus. 'Saha' stands for a 'sawmill' and it was designed and built along with other important parts of Otaniemi campus by architect office of Alvar Aalto in 1954-1955.

The graduates
Five out of seven graduates were present with their friends and families. They received the certificates given by the rector and enjoyed coffee and cake. The row shows also Tomi and Anja.
